Getting to the venue:

From the airport:
  • City Airport Train (CAT): fast but expensive
  • Metropolitan line S7: slower but much cheaper
  • Airport Bus: moderate; goes to various places in Vienna
How to buy a metropolitan ticket from the Airport to Vienna using the ticket machine:
  1. Select English language
  2. Select "VOR single-trip ticket, selection of zones"
  3. Select "2 zones" (Note: With this ticket you can go to any station inside Vienna using all underground, tram and bus lines.)
  4. Select number of tickets (i.e. number of persons travelling together)
  5. Press "O.K."
To get to the venue, go with metropolitan line S7 to Wien Praterstern, change to underground line U2 (direction Karlsplatz), go 3 stations to Schottentor.

From the railway station Wien Westbahnhof (for trains from DE and CH):
Take underground line U3 (direction Simmering), go 3 stations to Volkstheater, change to underground line U2 (direction Aspernstraße), go 2 stations to Schottentor.

From the railway station Wien Meidling (for trains from IT, SLO, HU, SK, CZ):
Take underground line U6 (direction Floridsdorf), go 4 stations to Westbahnhof, change to underground line U3 (direction Simmering), go 3 stations to Volkstheater, change to underground line U2 (direction Aspernstraße), go 2 stations to Schottentor.

From the railway station Wien Simmering (for trains from SK and CZ):
Take underground line U3 (direction Ottakring), go 12 stations to Volkstheater, change to underground line U2 (direction Aspernstraße), go 2 stations to Schottentor.

From the railway station Wien Südbahnhof (for local trains from Bratislava):
Take tram line D (direction Nussdorf), go 10 stations to Schottentor.
Please note: Due to the construction of a new main station, there is only restricted service from and to this station. We suggest to leave the train already at Wien Simmering (see above) or Wien Stadlau (underground line U2).
